Sorry but this book was so boring. The characters were annoying and full of cliches. I usually have to read all of the books in a series when I read the first one. Not this time!

The narrative is choppy and reads awkward. The characters' conversations feel forced.

But, it's a good story. A simple "She's All That" kind of deal.
This story was very good and I enjoyed all of the characters, especially the two main characters in the story.
I am a fan of these authors and have enjoyed everything I have read by them.
OMG! i need to search my kindle more often for books i haven't read yet.. WOW this book does not disappoint. Well, except for the mild cliff hanger it was a great book!

this book was a short quick read with duel POV'S. It follows two people one being Levi Carr, and the other being Presley. This new adult book will have you hating Levi and loving him, and then confused...

Levi had it all. A great family, captain of the hockey team at high school, and a great future in college and possible the NHL. That all changed when a new kid came to school. That kid was Trevor. He stole the Captain spot from Levi, and to add insult to injury his hot popular girlfriend. This will start the biggest war yet.

Levi is now in college where he is the captain of his team, and is offered to play for the penguins next year. He loves to mess with Trevor still. he is the captain of his rival team. One night while his team mates and him were messing with their equipment he saw a pretty woman. His team mates told him that this girl was named Presley and she was Trevor's twin sister.. Levi had a light bulb moment.. well you can see where this story is going don't you ) Levi was going to make Trevor mad, and also break a girls heart...

Presley has a twin brother. She loves him, but she gets no attention from her family. her family is all caught up his Trevor's hockey career. She is in college for pre- law and gets straight A's. The only thing she gets from her family is a envelope full of money and not even a hug. The only thing she had going for her was that Trevor was her best friend and listened to her, and also tried to get her family to join in on a bunch of family conversations. well, her best friend Marley asked her to go to a party because her new boyfriend was at the rival college. She spotted Levi. Even though she found him very attractive she couldn't let anyone know. This guy made her brother's life hell, and she knew he was off limits. That didn't stop Levi from continuing his game. So, After Presley lost a bet she had to take him to dinner with her best friend and boyfriend.
This is were is starts to get interesting. Levi and Presley relationship starts to bud into a full blown relationship. Levi keeps telling himself that he is going to leave her and his plan is in full swing. That is until Presley keeps surprising him, and making it hard for him to leave. The only thing he likes is the look on Trevor's face when he caught him in her apartment. Levi will realize how bad Presley has it in her family, and he will want to make it better. Levi will also start to break down walls and tell Presley all his darkest secrets.. just when you think things couldn't get more hot, steamy, and wonderful they pull in a big twist that will leave your mouth dropping and asking yourself what just happened.
lets just say keep your friends close and your Emmey's closer.. things will backfire for an already budding plan, and then relationships will be tested and new friendships will be made.. this book will not disappoint you.
This book was absolutely amazing I can't wait to download the next book to the series I read this entire book in one day it's so good you won't want to put it down
Downloaded the book when it was free and decided to see what it was about. I mean I knew it had something. To do with a hockey player so I figured heck ya.
I actually really enjoyed the book. Main characters...Levi, Presley and Trevor.

Levi is not only a talented, mouth watering hockey star he is also a smart one. Hockey is his life but he also is a chemistry major.

Trevor is Levi's rival and has been since high school. He also plays hockey but on a different team. Levi has hated Trevor for years and always looks for ways to get to him. And the feelings are mutual Trevor hates Levi.

Presley is Trevor's twin sister. A a sister that Levi didn't know Trevor had and now he has devised a plan to get at Trevor. It involves using Presley but he is about to dive into something he wasn't prepared for.

This book had me giving a evil laugh sorta because the player is gonna get played. I even thought Levi was bad but there is definitely a different side to him and you cannot help but fall for him. He draws you in and you are hooked. His intentions may of started off wrong but they quickly get turned around. I think Presley and Levi are great together. She has some crazy parents and a dad that doesn't seem to really notice her but Levi notices everything about her and she is drawn to that. Levi doesn't talk about his last but he opens up to Presley and he is even baffled by it.

It was a quick read but packed with a great love story. Now the ending had my eyes bulging from my head because it just stopped abruptly. So now I'm gonna have to find the next book.

My hockey obsession continues, this time with a fantastic “New Adult” read that took my breathaway! I found Breakaway by Lindsay Paige on a “Best Hockey Romance” list on Goodreads. I needed a break from the monotonous and disappointing New York Blades series, and this book was the PERFECT way to break that funk and keep me on my reading streak! (27 books in 2014 – by January 29!)

Lindsay Paige and Mary Smith have a fantastic duel voice in this book, told from both Levi and Presley’s perspectives, you can’t help but fall in love with both of them!

Levi Carr is dark and twisty – just the way we like our Hockey Hunks, right? He’s had it rough, and he takes his aggression out on Trevor McCarthy – his rival since high school. And when he finds out that McCarthy has a sister, he knows the perfect way to get under his rivals skin! Until… (predictably) her falls for Presley. Hard. I love watching Levi grow and change through this story. So well done, and so great to be inside the male perspective!

Presley is a bit different for me. I have sympathy for her – but she lets her brother and dad walk all over her. And that pisses me off. But then, she lets herself fall into Levi and I love her for it – I can only hope that as this series goes on (it’s a trilogy!) that she finds a backbone of her own.

The authors have a solid story, albeit predictable. (But that’s why I read romance, isn’t it? For that level of cliche predictability!) The whole using his rivals sister, then falling for her? Levi is a good guy, and this is a strong story.

If you’re into YA and want to venture into the world of sports romance? This is the book for you! (But I must warn you – there are some REALLY STEAMY scenes!)
