This is a really good book to read, the 3.5 stars isn't shouldn't be a deterrent because I'm a harsh reviewer. I enjoyed this book immensely, Jax and Rowan's story is a good one and a HEA. I think I would have scored it more if there was an epilogue but I'm guessing that we may be drip fed bits of Jax and Rowan's story throughout the series but for ME, I needed more to this story - their relationship, Jax's father, Rowan's role in the gym moving forward, marriage, children the MMA etc. I would have preferred another book about these two rather then ending it with open questions.
This is my first book read by this author, but it won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this story and the immediate connection that the two MC’s had. It was fate that Rowan met Jax right when she was at her most vulnerable and needed someone to hold onto. Jax was in the right place at the right time and once he met Rowan, although he never felt this way before, he knew she was it for him. That’s not to say he didn’t have to fight for her, b/c with post-partum rearing it’s ugly head/ single motherhood/ a nasty ex and feeling inadequate d/t her demeaning mother Rowan had a struggle all her own. But, with the help of his MMA friends Rowan and Jax were able to form an unconventional family bond which was just what the other needed. Definitely need to read the other books in the series!
This book just took its spot as my favorite book of the year.

I absolutely LOVED this book! This book had me hooked from page 1! I couldn't put it down. You come across a book every once in a while that pushes their way into your heart and never let's go. This book is that book. The book consumed my every thought for days. I could not wait to get back to reading it. This read I do not even have the words. All I can say is if you don't one click now you are missing out BIG.

Rowan goes into labor and her boyfriend drops her off at the emergency room entrance and never comes back. She sat in the waiting room for 3 hours waiting on his sorry butt. She gets up and about falls over from a contraction. Jax runs to her to keep her from falling. They rush her to a room. Jax stays with her through the whole entire labor and after. He never leaves her. (*sigh* I love Jax.)

Jax was so supportive. He really cared about Rowan. He would buy the baby things and send it through her babysitter so she wouldn’t know. Because she was a stubborn prideful person. He would do what he could to take care of her.

Jax and Rowans relationship is freaking amazing. The love they have for each other is unconditional. Jax is a HOT alpha male that is cocky and super protective. I just love him. He was the perfect guy for Rowan. He is loving, caring, protective and he loves Lily as much as he would love his own.

Quote She’s fine. He kisses me on my cheek and walks to her seat to buckle her in. He keeps smiling and talking to her the whole time and my heart lurches. I love him. I am in love with this man. The thought hits me like a freight train, but it makes complete sense. He has completely taken over my heart and clearly that of my daughters given the way she has taken to him. She greets him with squeals when he comes over and reaches for him to hold her. Standing there with the realization that I’m in love make me immobile.

Rowan has a new family now and that is Jax’s family. He has the most amazing friends. They care about her and Lily so much. They will do whatever it takes her happy and support her. They are all so sweet and caring. I can’t wait until they get their stories.

Lily chooses that moment to fuss from her seat. Before I can get her, Jax is there, unbuckling her from her seat. He holds her in his arms and gives her a couple bounces making her, and me, smile. I wonder if this feeling I get when I see her with him, like I’m suddenly goo, will ever stop. “Guys, this is Lily. Lily, these are the guys.”
Jax holds her proudly and I wish I had my phone in my hand so I could videotape the reaction from these men. That’s the only way anyone would believe me later. These tough, covered in tattoos fighters all turn to big softies as they coo at and talk baby talk to Lily. She gives them all big gummy smiles and bats her lashes. I swear she’s flirting with them.
“She’s so cute.”
“Look at her little smile.”
“She’s beautiful like her mama.”
I find myself beaming at all of them, and when I look at Jax, I find that he’s already looking back at me. I hold his stare and try to articulate everything I’m feeling into my eyes. I don’t think I’ve ever been more attracted to him than in this moment. His eyes narrow a little as if he knows what I’m thinking and then his lips curve up into a smirk. “Okay guys, get out of here. I think you’ve overwhelmed Rowan and Lily enough for now.”
With grumbles and waves goodbye, they all file out of the office.

I rated this book 5+ stars! I can't wait to see what she brings next!!
Had a good story line but fell flat. I found many of the conversations between Rowan and Jackson annoying. They kind of dragged on and on. They were always so formal with each other and it just seemed fake to me and I didn't feel it. Also the book needed some editing. The end also felt rushed - I would have liked a little more. We never found out if anything happened with Jacksons dad? Did Rowan end up working for the gym? Does Jackson adopt Lily? It says no cliff hanger but didn't feel complete to me when it ended.
